Resumen

The advantages of the enrichment program designed for the students of Graves Country High School in Kentucky for preparing the students for mechanical engineering education are discussed. The program involved lectures, laboratory work and short research projects. The introductory engineering courses in the program and the concentrated workshops provided through the program helped the students to understand the fundamentals of engineering. A wide range of subjects covered by the enrichment program enhanced the interest level of students.
